UNION DESIGN FAIR, SUNDAY, HAYES VALLEY

Lovely Hayes Valley Park is the spot to be for the Union Design Fair, this Sunday, May 31, from 11:00 am 'til 6 pm.

Check out 130 carefully chosen designers of all sorts of clothing, accessories, textiles, paper goods. FREE to look; great neighborhood to hang out in for an afternoon -- and who knows, if you bring your credit card and a wad of cash you'll probably go home with some new duds.

DIVISADERO STREET SUPER SIDEWALK SALE

We've got a feeling there's going to be some good deals at this one. Divisadero Street merchants and neighbors from Haight to McAllister will line the corridor with great discounts from 11 am to 5 pm today, Saturday, May 16.

INDIE MART @ THE INDEPENDENT THIS SUNDAY

Come one, come all (so long as you're 21+) -- the Indie Mart will be making its last West Addy appearance for awhile Sunday, April 26, from 11 am 'til 4 pm at the Independent @ 628 Divisadero (@ Grove), before moving back outdoors to Thee Parkside in June.

$2 donation at the door (proceeds go to local cancer charities). Over 40 vendors inside. Local designers, rad stores, vintage stuff, skateboards and messenger gear. I mean, can you say "I'm there!"

DJs, food and of course, there's beer & booze (that's why it's gotta be 21+, kids). Not to be missed. Line up early and hang out for awhile afterward on the DC (that's the Divisadero Corridor, you know) -- San Francisco's most eclectic neighborhood.

TAX DAY RELIEF - NO TAX AT AMOEBA AND FREE TACOS AT TACO DEL MAR

Just $3 gets you in he door to this giant music lover's fair. Vendors come from all over to sell music-related items in various formats & genres - many offer hard-to-find & rarities. Vinyl galore, CDs, DVDs, posters, books and much much more.

Then at 11 am, go shopping different at the Indie Mart, tongue-in-not-so-cheekily held at the Independent @ 628 Divisadero.
