If you're a poetry buff, then today's 6-hour poetry crawl through North Beach, starting at 1:30 pm at the Beat Museum and ending at 7:30 pm at Washington Square Park is the real deal. FREE event, with stops at Kerouac Alley and Cafe Trieste, culminating in a street party featuring an indigenous Quichua dance by poet Carla Badillo Coronado accompanied by Jorge Molina, and music by the Vince Lateano Quartet. Participants from around the world throughout the day include: Ámbar Past, Ferruccio Brugnaro, Carla Badillo Coronado, Matt Gonzales, Ziba Karbassi, Jonathan Richman and many, many more.
