Gonzo noir novelist/scriptwriter Jerry Stahl reads from his new novel, Pain Killers, tonight at Amnesia, 853 Valencia St., 7 pm, FREE. But this ain't gonna be your grandmother's reading and book signing -- as if a gonzo noir writer could be capable of such a thing. The evening is also going to feature a special appearance by the The Improv Group, Crisis Hopkins performing a scene from Stahl's memoir, Permanent Midnight, music by Yellow Dress and a reading by author Bucky Sinister. And it's all FREE.
