OCEAN + BEACH ART EXHIBIT AT NEEDLES & PENS

Being in San Francisco in the summer means you gotta dig hard for summertime inspiration. To put it bluntly, living in Fog City in July is no day at the beach. That's why, if you're feeling sun-and-sand deprived, you can check out the FREE Ocean + Beach at Needles & Pens (3253 16th St.) in the Mission. 12 noon to 7 pm daily, through July 31. Flavorpill says,
The exhibit brings together 20 artists from up and down the coast (including more than a few locals), and features a wide range of talent celebrating summertime's favorite destination. New work on display includes Amy Jo Diaz's whimsical pen-and-ink drawings, Alberto Cuadros' colorful surfer-inspired typography pieces, and Lana Porcello's meticulous pencil illustrations.
