The Fiber Show brings together a diverse collection of Bay Area artists whose two dimensional and sculptural pieces blur the lines between art and craft. From knitting needle to sewing thread, the manipulation of cloth and yarn challenges the idea of fiber as strictly functional.
Opening tonight at 7 pm ('til 10 pm), the exhibit is curated by Sonya Philip, featuring works by Stephani Martinez, Chris Motley, Sonya Philip, Elaine Rogowski, and Melissa Townsend. It's open by appointment after tonight through August 7th.
So forget about the bran flakes for awhile and check out The Fiber Show at the Spare Room, 270 Anderson St. in Bernal Heights. It's FREE.
