It's that time of year, friends. Time to stay indoors and avoid throngs of crazy 'burb babes and boys not from the 'hood who roam our good streets. Big cups of flat Miller High Life, sausage on a stick, bad art and $10 sunglasses -- ok music. Yep, you've got the general picture for this weekend's 55th Annual North Beach Festival (Saturday and Sunday) and the Haight Street Fair (Sunday).
Say what!? Well, you're right -- they cost nothing -- they're FREE to troll through and smell the marinara sauce and incense, depending on your venue of choice. And, you can get stronger drinks in North Beach at Vesuvio; better grub in the Haight at Cha Cha Cha. Bad art and sunglasses, optional.
