MIGDALIA VALDES: EVERY DAY IN BLACK AND WHITE

Check out Migdalia Valdes' photo exhibit, Every Day in Black and White, for FREE at the Intersection for the Arts, 446 Valencia St., Wednesdays through Saturdays, from noon to 5 pm.

Ten years ago, Valdes decided she would snap a roll of film each day for the rest of her life (a tad before the digital era, which puts her in some classic company). It's been an exercise in artistic stamina and breaking down the barrier between art and life. And, while she was at it, Valdes got better and better at her craft.

The show runs 'til May 23 -- but why wait?
