The Upper Haightsters got it going on tonight, kicking off their first Haight St. Art Walk. The FREE event starts at 5 pm. Over 20 venues have signed up to participate including Aqua Surf Shop, Cheap Thrills, Booksmith, The People's Cafe, Buffalo Exchange and more. An evening of art, music and shopping from Masonic to Stanyan (and back again). If this event's a success (and we can't see why it won't be) this will become a regular last Friday of the month keeper. There's some time to stop by after Critical Mass -- the Art Walk goes on 'til 9 pm.
